INTERNET RADIO AIRPLAY - November 30, 2005
A lot of my friends are starting to listen to internet radio stations as they work on their computers. This summer I started submitting my music to some pretty unique little nitches in the internet community and have had some good luck. This week I was picked up by 'NetteRadio, a weekly 2-hour internet radio show that is dedicated to
promoting unsigned women musicians. They aired my song Like It Is on the 11/30/05 show. I was also picked up by Society of Sound - consistentley a top 50 radio station with Live365.They recently decided to dedicate a larger section of their 24/7 format towards indy
artists, and I was in their words, "someone who really peaked (their) interest". I have also been added to the rotation at WHAT radio. If you check out the links section of my samegirldifferentday website, you will see I have listed links to other internet radio stations that have picked me up. One of my favorites is NTG Radio Internet, All women - All the time. They have my music in the rotation. :-)

Linda Smith Greatest Hits - June 27, 2005
Here are a series of stories about the songs and the cds currently available. They are taken from concert and radio station footage, so you may have already heard them. They are sorted by song title, but otherwise random little tidbits of information.
Like It Is: I love the harmonica and harmonies in this tune. We got the harmonica in the first take, all the way through. It was just easy.
Sometimes I Cry: This is a really personal song. I used to feel naked when I sang it live.
Ode To A Modernday Mother: It's hard to raise a daughter on your own. There is that first sadness you feel when you leave to go to work and she cries and cries for you. Then there is the second one when she doesn't cry any more and she expects you to leave.
Justifiable Homicide: I love the beat in here and Jack does some really cool vocals in the background.
You Changed Your Mind: I'm a hopeless romantic, even with the psycho ones.
You Could Never: Let me just say, Long Distance Relationship.
Same Girl Different Day - June 27, 2005
Here are a series of stories about the songs and the cds currently available. They are taken from concert and radio station footage, so you may have already heard them. They are sorted by song title, but otherwise random little tidbits of information.
Day By Day: At the beginning of a relationship you want to just jump in and rush it or define it. If you let it unfold day by day it will become something very beautiful. It's just hard to let it become without controlling it.
All I Have To Say: At the end of a long relationship you may know that it has to end, and you may still love that person. There's nothing you can say or do to bring it back even if you wish you could.
Not Your Girl: It's pretty common to date someone that is in a different place with commitment. It's just hard when you're the one falling and the other person just wants to date.
Is That What It Takes: Some of my friends heard this one and said, "What was that?"
Mamie's Corner Pub: This is the true story of how I fell in love and am still in love.
Everyone's A Little Strange: Just be yourself, it's a little boring to hang out with a bunch of people that all care about what everyone thinks.
Jack In The Box: I love this rockin' tune. What would happen if you left your comfort zone for a moment?
Gamble Everything For Love: I wrote the lyrics and Tina wrote the guitar part. It just came together and it has a great vibe.
Ordinary Life: I just want to be with you at the end of the day and share our lives together. It doesn't have to be action and entertainment all the time.
